Q: What is PayGo SP?
PayGo SP is a system of databases (essentially software to you) working together as a POS (Point-Of-Sale) system to help the independent business owner track inventory, customers, sales, purchases and much more. PayGo SP works on Windows 2000 or XP and Mac OS X. It works with approved receipt printers, scanners, cash drawers and barcode printers to provide you with a turn-key solution that can handle most of your retail needs. It also can work the back end to your mail order business. Want more details?

Q: How long does it take to get PayGo setup?
This all depends on how many workstations and what type of workstations you are setting up. We can assemble a two workstation setup in about one hour. We find our users take about 2-3 hours to get a two workstation setup in place and all hardware operational.

Q: How long does it take to get running in PayGo SP?
This all depends on how many workstations/users you have accessing PayGo at one time AND how fast you are at data entry. Typically, it takes a minute to enter each inventory record.

Q: Can I print barcodes out of PayGo SP?
Yes you can. We've built in a barcode printing process and we have an authorized bar code printer that is included with our PayGo Bundles. There are other ways to print barcodes in PayGo, but they typically require customization.

Q: Can I customize the look of PayGo?
Sort of! PayGo SP is built on our OpenSorta™ standard. OpenSorta means that some of the things you do in PayGo are customizable. You can create custom reports and you can modify the PayGo printing files (paygo_reports_custom.cji and paygo_printing.cji.) PayGo SP's data file is also open for you to access the tables and link them to other systems. It's all based on your power to be creative.

Q: Can I process credit cards with PayGo SP?
Yes, you can. PayGo connects to the Authorize.net gateway. You can run eCommerce, mail order, and card-present accounts in PayGo – and, in fact, you can have multiple merchant accounts in use within PayGo.

Q: Can I have more than 1 workstation sharing PayGo SP at one time?
Dang right! You could have up to 250! That's a lot of workstations - so if you're thinking of going that high, we should talk. PayGo SP works quite well in a multi-user environment. It's very fast and all your work is updated in real time. So, if Betty enters a new inventory item in the back room, Suzy can sell it IMMEDIATELY at the front register.

Q: Can I tie PayGo SP to my web site?
You have a couple of options here - but the answer is yes. The easiest route is our HostPayGo service.
But if you've got really specific needs, our OpenSorta™ design approach might be really appealing to you.

Q: Why PayGo SP when I can get other programs for 1/2 the price?
It may seem that a product with a lower price tag is a better value, but if you compare features and reliability--software to software, hardware to hardware, and support to support--you will find that PayGo SP (and our bundle packages) are great values. And watch out, there are lots of POS companies that are still selling DOS-based solutions! Do you want to run your business with software based on a technology that was on its way out when cell phones were the size of a snow boot?  Think about that!

Q: How do I learn how to use PayGo SP?
We have lots of choices. PayGo SP includes a quick start and a user guide.
We also offer PayGo University several times during the year. Lastly, we have a robust support system where finding answers to your questions is easy.

Q: Can I use PayGo SP in a mixed environment (Windows and Mac)?

You sure can! You can have 1 mac and 4 PC's; or 5 Macs and 2 PC's; or 3 Macs and...well you get the picture!
As long as all computers are networked and talking TCP/IP (hint: nowadays, most computers are already talking with TCP/IP), you can host PayGo SP on one computer (or server) and all the other computers can connect as guests. So, you can type it in on a Mac and sell it 1 second later on a PC!

Q: Can we have someone give us an onsite demonstration of PayGo SP?
With technology, we can provide a demonstration over the Internet as we communicate via the phone. It's a competitive world out there and it is more cost effective to both companies if we use the efficiencies available to us. This allows our company to concentrate on product evolution and customer service, which is better for our PayGo users.

Q: If I have an old POS system, can I import its data into PayGo SP?
Most of the time, yes you can! If your POS system can export data, or we can access the data files, we can help you import much of your critical data. But because every POS system is different, the time to pull your old data into the *right* place in PayGo SP can vary greatly. We offer data transfer as an add-on service and will quote you on how long we think it will take.

Q: Can I export my data out of PayGo SP?
Heck yeah! It's your data. When the time comes, our support site can help you with your exporting needs.

Q: Many POS companies suck. Are you going to pull a fast one on me?
Our approach has been to grow the right way - not the wrong way. If our software isn't right for you, we'll tell you. Success comes not from fooling, but from helping. When we quote you, we provide everything you would need based on our analysis of your situation.
Our goal is to limit surprises. But, you do have to take responsibility to make sure you understand the information provided to you. For many, implementing computer business systems is not something that happens too often. Make sure you get the information you need and provide enough information to us, so we can give you the most accurate quote.

Q: What is the secret to life?
Umm, we don't truly know, but we put this question here to give you a little R and R. This is at least part of the secret to life.

Q: Are we there yet?
Anyone who's a parent has heard this question frequently. So we added it here to help you. The answer is "NOT YET! IF YOU ASK ME ONE MORE TIME, I'M GOING TO STOP THIS CAR..."
